In the Land Based Developments we are

formats right from LIDAR to a field
book data to TIN, DTM formats. Post

GIS Development for State Electricity
Board
Project Scope:
This projects aims at the development
of electricity distribution
cable maps spread across the city. These
maps should have details such as path
of high-tension cables, Locations of
the transformers, feeder pillars, Sub
Stations
and the related installations. From
utility point of view regarding the
above
prepared maps customized software application
developments to be done. This
software should have basic features
like zoom in/ out, pan, identify etc.
Along
with this, features are provided to
updating data connected to the elements
of the
map, query on the map (spatial and non
spatial). Software also gives functionality
to get reports like monthly energy audit,
new load connected etc. •
GIS Development for the Department
of Forest
Project Scope:
Development of detailed infrastructure
maps of the forest areas.
Digitization of various layers of the
forest boundaries which included Village
Boundaries, Compartment Boundaries,
different stock detailing (Type of flora
&
fauna in the area). This project is
developed on Intergraph’s Geomedia
software. • Airport
Ground Lighting System (AGLS)
Project Scope:
Survey of runway & operational areas,
digital mapping of the
electrical infrastructure and cable
routs. Collection of technical data
of each and
every element of the map. Map-based
software for querying a map, updating
data and reporting tools. •
3D model for Railway Track.
3D modeling along the railway track.
Task was to create TIN model and
give cross sections at every 100 mts.
along the rail track. There was a river
flowing along this railway track. From
the TIN model and sections further flood
analysis was done. We received Laser
survey data as input for this development.
This survey was done for approx. 500
Km of the area. • Customization
of ARC GIS for Raster Grid Creation
from Lidar Data
Arc GIS Provides tools to create “Raster
Grid” from the Lidar data. The
process is quite long which includes
steps like
o Cleaning of Input Data (Conversion
of XYZ input format to text format)
o Importing Point Data
o Creating Point Grid
o Developing Surface
o Creating Shape Files
o Exporting Shape files to Raster Grid
format and developing colors bands.
This process takes a lot of time for
each file that comes as a input XYZ
from
Lidar Survey. There were around 2 million
points to be processed.
We have developed a tool in ARC GIS
which helps to cut short the time
requirements and reduce the man hrs
spend on this. Our tool needs just path
where the input files are stored, rest
every thing was automated. Because of
this
first input 2 million points were processed
in 3 hrs which other wise would have
consumed around 55-60 working hrs.
• Remote Administration
System for Fire Fighting Team,
Remote Access is a GIS (Geographical
Information System)
customization project. This application
is used by Fire fighters to search the
particular location on map of the area
they are supporting and get detailed
information about that location. The
location can be searched by full address,
by
intersecting streets and by latitude
/ longitude combination. Once the location
is
found on the map, all relevant information
like Pre-plan drawings (AutoCAD
drawings), Photos, Video Clips is made
available for that particular address.
The
administration application is used to
enter the information (Location details,
Pre-
Plans, Videos, Hazards information etc.),
which will be seen by the fire fighters.
